Marie Digby

Half Irish, half Japanese singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist Marie Digby is best known for her acoustic cover version of Rihanne's hit Umbrella which currently has over 8.8 million hits on YouTube. The song has been played on radio station STAR 98.7, was featured on the third season opening episode of the MTV show The Hills and was #10 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart.

Marie began writing songs during high school in Los Angeles and was discovered when she won the 2004 Pantene Pro-Voice competition with her song Miss Invisible. Marie signed a publishing deal with Rondor Music (subsidiary of Universal Music Group) in early 2005 and at the end of the year signed with Disney's Hollywood Records. Her first album of original songs was completed by the end of 2006. Since Marie began posting home-made videos of both cover and original songs on YouTube, she has had over 90,000 subscribers and her channel has been viewed over 2.5 million times. Marie was recently in Japan promoting her album.
